Identity Obfuscation
2023
"Identity Obfuscation" explores the evolving nature of human identity and expression in the digital age. I crafted clay masks representing the shifting displays of identity, inspired by traditional theater masks. Incorporating technological elements such as beads, guitar parts, and repurposed science goggles, the techno-skeleton mask symbolizes our contemporary reliance on technology to shape and alter perceptions. In an era transcending traditional means of self-identification, this installation and film highlights the departure from souly using conventional labels to identify oneself, reflecting a world that has moved beyond natural Darwinian evolution and into a realm where identity is molded by the interplay of human experience and technology.
