Inspiration Strikes
Collaboration Opportunity
I attended the Senior art gallery opening on Lewis & Clark College campus this past Friday and was so inspired by the professionalism and finished works. In my upcoming senior year of college I want to make something awe-full like give me jaw dropping awesome sauce impressive piece. In my last critic, my professors advised me to lean into my video production as my main way of documenting my costumery. BOOM! I have done light work with sound art and have been playing around with video but have no real knowledge in either medium. THUS! I am reaching out to local bands, videographers, and dancers looking to collaborate in a music video for Spring ‘25.
My Plan
I am thinking of making a complete set of costumes for a band, and then 3 pairs of costumes for dancers. Since this is such a large ask for myself I am on the lookout for videographers and dancers in the Portland, OR area. In collaboration with a band or musician I would love to create a song just for this project. This project would be the biggest collaboration I will do and I am preparing to push this piece to the limit.
Along these lines, I am also hoping to collaborate with bands over the summer that would want to wear my costumes while they perform or at least keep as a showstopper or two for special occasions. I am currently working on two ghillie suits and fine tuning my balaclava skills for the dirty punks out there but am always ready to work on a custom design!
Latest creation! A thrifted shirt that was not very exciting other then some blue lettering on the front, consider it up-cycled!
